The problem we solved
When a client opens a gallery with 50, 100, or 200 images, the browser has to download all of them. That means:
- Huge downloads: 5-10 MB per photo = 500 MB just for the gallery
- Slow loading: 5-10 seconds waiting
- Poor mobile experience: Especially with slow connection
- High abandonment rate: The client leaves without seeing all photos
The solution: Smart thumbnails
We implemented a system that automatically generates a mini version of each photo (thumbnail) with drastically reduced size.
Now when the client opens the gallery:
- ✅ Fast loading - See the gallery in 1-2 seconds
- ✅ No limits - Can scroll through hundreds of photos without lag
- ✅ Quality guaranteed - When clicked, shows the high-quality version

Are my old photos affected?
No. Previous sessions work exactly the same. Only new ones have the optimization.
Is quality lost?
No. The gallery shows the mini version. When zooming, you see the photo in maximum quality.
Do they take up more space?
The thumbnail adds ~1-2% storage. The speed gain is completely worth it.
