Until now, every page your clients saw looked the same: the PhotoHeart look. It works well, but not every studio looks alike. That is why we have added a second style, Editorial, designed so your photography takes up more space and the interface takes up less.
What Editorial looks like
Editorial is not a color swap. The gallery is redesigned from top to bottom:
- The cover reaches the top edge, with a transparent header on top and the full title on the first screen.
- Headings use serif typography and the palette is paper, ink and stone. PhotoHeart's indigo doesn't appear.
- The mosaic spans the full width, with minimal gaps between photos and no cards around them.
- Session details are plain text, with thin dividers instead of boxes.
- To choose a photo there is a discreet heart in the corner; tapping the image opens the viewer, which always shows the full photo.
The rules don't change. Selection, products, comments, price and finalization work the same in both styles. What changes is how everything is presented.
The same style at every touchpoint
A client doesn't only see your gallery. Before that they booked a date and probably signed a contract. Editorial applies to all three public pages:
- Gallery, with everything described above.
- Bookings, with the session catalog in a single grid, a straight-edged calendar and forms, and the selection in ink.
- Contract, with the same surroundings around the document.
There is a deliberate limit on the contract: the style changes what surrounds the document, not the document itself. The paper, the typography of the legal text and the signed PDF are the same as always.
Light or dark, your way
Alongside the style you choose the initial mode: light or dark. It is the look your client sees when they first open the page.
Note the word "initial". Your client can switch modes whenever they want using the control in the header, and their preference has nothing to do with the mode you use in your dashboard.
How to turn it on
- Go to Settings → Brand.
- In the public page appearance section, choose Editorial.
- Choose the initial mode, light or dark.
- Save.
If you change nothing, your pages stay exactly as they were, with the PhotoHeart style.
Try it before you decide
If you want to see it without touching your account, the public gallery, calendar and contract demos let you switch between PhotoHeart and Editorial, in light and dark. They are simulations: they don't create bookings, don't charge anyone and don't send emails.
Editorial doesn't replace the PhotoHeart style. They are two ways of presenting the same work, and you choose the one that fits your studio.
