Your WhatsApp, working for you
Emails have a 20% read rate. WhatsApp has 98%. Your clients already use WhatsApp to talk to you. Now PhotoHeart can send them automatic notifications from your own number, without you having to do anything.
How it works
Go to Settings, Connections, and tap "Connect WhatsApp". A QR code appears. Scan it with your phone just like you do when linking WhatsApp Web. Within seconds you see "Connected" and that is it. Your WhatsApp keeps working on your phone completely normally.
No need to create a business account, no per-message fees, no additional setup. Scan the QR and you are done.
What notifications are sent
PhotoHeart sends the same 10 notification types that already existed for email, but now also via WhatsApp:
Each type can be enabled or disabled independently. Email and WhatsApp work as two separate columns: you can have email enabled and WhatsApp disabled for a type, or the other way around, or both.
| Category | Notification |
|---|---|
| Bookings | Booking confirmation |
| Bookings | Booking cancelled |
| Bookings | Booking reminder (24h before) |
| Galleries | Gallery ready to view |
| Galleries | Gallery about to expire |
| Galleries | Selection completed |
| Contracts | Contract pending signature |
| Contracts | Contract signed |
| Contracts | Signature reminder |
| Contracts | Contract revoked |
Messages with context
The messages are not generic. They include the client's name, the booking date, and the session name. When a gallery has a password, the message includes it automatically. When a contract needs signing, the link goes directly to the contract.
And when you send a gallery link, WhatsApp shows the preview with the cover photo, title, and gallery description. It is not a bare link — it is a visual card that invites a click.
Where to configure it
In Settings, Configuration, Notifications tab. You will see the list of automatic client notifications with two columns: the email icon and the WhatsApp icon. Each with its own toggle.
The WhatsApp toggle only activates when you have WhatsApp connected. If it is not connected, it appears disabled with a message indicating that you must first connect WhatsApp in the Connections section.
Security and privacy
Your WhatsApp stays securely linked. Messages are sent from your number, so your clients see your name and profile photo. It is not an unknown number or an impersonal business account.
Client personal data is not stored in the delivery logs. Phone numbers are masked in internal logs.
If the server restarts
The connection re-establishes automatically. You do not need to scan the QR again. PhotoHeart remembers your session and reconnects in seconds without any intervention.
Available now
The feature is live for all users. Go to Settings, Connections, connect your WhatsApp, and enable the notifications you want. Your clients will notice.
